Welcome to our 3rd and 4th May 2014 Militaria Auction update which will be held in Wellington.
To give you a preview we have so far catalogued in excess of 1650 items of militaria including a large collection of early military flintlock and percussion firearms including 3 Calisher and Terry Rifles, Jacobs Double Rifle, Brown Bess’s, Lovell’s Pattern, Whitworth, Paget Carbine, Sniders, Martini’s and a wide range of .303 cal. Lee Enfield’s including a Lee Speed.
Of interest is 3 Blunderbusses, Flintlock, Percussion Pistols and a fine cased pair of Chas Moore Percussion Pistols and a cased pair of James Purdey Coach Pistols along with a range of cartridge handguns including a Webley Fosbery, Webley Bentley, Webley wedge Frame, Lugers, Broomhandle Mauser’s, Colts, Adams, Tranter, collection of American revolvers and pistols, target pistols and an Adams revolver marked ACF (Armed Constabulary Force).
Also catalogued is the largest range of hunting rifles, target rifles and black powder rifles we have ever had for sale.
The range of edge weapons include 8 sword sticks and a collection of swords, bayonets and knives.
From the estate of John Kitt and others we have a library of books and research material on the early wars in Northland, a suitcase of ephemera and photos from a local soldier who served in North Africa and a group of medals including the Military Medal.
The Militaria section includes a collection of helmets, hats, lead soldiers, military Dinky toys, Bainsfather collectables, set of gold scales and a gentleman’s refreshment field kit etc.

If you will be attending the auction, make sure you book your accommodation early as local accomadation is filling fast in the Kilbirnie area.
